The Trump complaint I get this month (August) from my Democrat friends (believe it or not, I do have Democrat friends) concerns the high gas prices due to President Donald J. Trump’s war with Iran — and the higher associated inflated general prices.  

My perception is that my Democrat friends have what is probably termed “selective amnesia.”  

I like to keep things simple. I like living by the acronym “KISS” ( I do have a B.S. degree in business administration, with a major concentration in law enforcement.)This is FYI for my California buddy/detractor, as I return to my “little shack” in the Appalachian Mountains.

Getting back and “closing the circle,” for me, I judge inflation by the cost of eggs and gas prices.  

To further simplify it, in January 2026, as the Biden (Democrat administration) was leaving the White House, large eggs at Ingles cost $6.58 a dozen.  

Now, eight months into the second Trump administration (August 2026), large eggs cost $1.68 a dozen.  

Am I wrong about the term “Democrat selective amnesia” — or am I just “Keeping It (too) Simple Stupid?”  

Are these Democrats lying to me? 

 Pissing on my leg and trying to tell me “it’s raining.” Duh... I don’t know. After all, I’m just  — giving a nod to my California detractor — “a little redneck” from Enka-Candler (in Appalachia).  

Now for Trump’s war and gasoline prices.  I ain’t happy about that.  Recalling “regular” was about a $3.68 a gallon last week (in mid-August).  

Feel free to correct me. I’m living “KISS.” Go check for yourself. The point is with the incoming Biden (Democrat administration) and the tightening of oil drilling permits, and the restrictions on the Bakken Oil Field in North Dakota, gasoline\prices reach $4.65 a gallon (Democrat administration).  

They never recovered from the plus-or-minus $2.18 and as low as $1.98 during the first Trump administration. So I ain’t happy about gas prices; but, for a little “redneck,” I understand it.  

From a military point of view, you always err on the conservative side. Iran has proven they have a ballistic missile with a 2,500-mile range. You can believe it or not that they were enriching uranium to weapons-grade nuclear status.  While they had achieved about 60 percent of that enrichment they were close to enriching to weapons grade.  

Granted my Democrat friends say that is “bulls--t.” So it is a question️ of who you chose to believe. One thing I know for certain is their bases is no more reliable than mine.  They have never been able to document a reliable source.  Without that “verifiable” source where are they getting there information from.  It appears to me they are… “pulling it out of their (expletive deleted).”  

Therefore, the bottom line is as follows:

1. You err on the conservative side.  

2. The Iranians have proven they have mid-range missiles and they will use them.  

3. In a short period of time, most European capitals would fall under their “missile umbrella”  

4.  In a short period, United States’ cities would fall under their soon-to-come, long-range missile umbrella.  

5.  I have no doubt in my mind that the Iranians would attack the “Great Satin.”  

6.  While I ain’t happy about gas prices, I certainly understand the reason for it. 

Remember that ignorance can be educated away, but ignorance (even if it is chosen ignorance) is forever. It appears many Democrats chose ignorance.  

I ain’t happy about gas prices, but I understand it. I don’t think the Trump administration has the option of “kicking the can down the road again,” as other administrations have done for the last 50 years. 

I thought it was a bluff, but it is true that the Iranians and their proxies have killed thousands of Americans. 

I can handle the gas prices for the good (as Lyndon Johnson said) “for my fellow Americans.”
