Conservatism in America has been stuck on hold since at least the ‘70s.
The cowardly ending to the Democrat’s arrogant pursuits in Vietnam, combined with Nixon’s implosion and the elephant’s rapid expansion into left-mindedness, led to a semi-permanent state of Republican/conservative paralysis.
While we’ve been stuck in neutral, the opposition has been accelerating.
Stepping around his frustrating personality quirks, Trump has singlehandedly slammed the Democrat Party’s squeaky brakes while simultaneously punching the Republican’s rusty gas pedal.
Thank goodness most donkey-affiliated elected officials – N.C. political opportunist “par excellence” Thom Tillis being a notable exception – have reluctantly united behind the key piece of the Trump doctrine – the Republican Testicular Recovery Act pf 2024.
In Trump’s eye, being nice to bad guys is not a viable public policy – it’s surrender.
Strong and nice work best together, but if you’re forced to make a choice, strong is more often the right choice. As the past five decades have proven to conservatives, nice without strong is a certain path to failure.
Why’s that? Because in the absence of a party of principle and honest strength, voters will dependably pick the party with the least principles and the most pretend strength.
For too long that’s been the bewildered left. It’s marketing arm, the Democrat Party has consistently been operating with opportunistic principles mismatched to dominant power.
It’s a personal belief that America’s media outlets are almost universally corrupt. Their continuing efforts to foster hyper-liberalist bias is leftist momentum rolling downhill after its run out of fuel.
In the hopes that America rethinks its slide into their abyss, it is a personal belief that conservative thinkers remain an incredibly important piece of the fight.
As a means to securing your interest in embracing the right political path over the dead end thinking currently capturing so many otherwise smart people, here’s a quick list of conservative principles.
Getting it — Real conservatives like realism, budgetary constraint and truth. The fake kind imitates the other side by substituting fantasy, extravagance and pretense. Which do you think will best serve America’s future?
America’s success equation — It’s a simple conservative formula: Liberty + Opportunity + Responsibility = Prosperity. Considering becoming a conservative thinker? Memorize it.
Unity without uniformity — Conservatives understand that we don’t have to be mindless, angry, “my way or the highway” zombies to stand for something. Nor do we as a value-driven political movement have to be tolerant with relentless leftist intolerance.
The movement of normal — Yes, that word exists. Ask Little Red Riding Hood about chairs that are too hard, too soft, or just right. Conservatism seeks just right. The others, well...
Mainstream mindset — Though the left likes to portray conservatives as extreme, we actually represent a far greater number of mainstream souls who understand the notion that extremes breed extremes.
Liberty over security — Don’t look now, but more people than not will sacrifice their freedom for security. Socialists and other political opportunists exploit that misstep with enthusiasm. Conservatives slam that door with a steady eye on a future of hope that recognizes the crucial importance of liberty over just about anything else.
Patriotism over tribalism — The success of a country requires a broad belief in the merits of that country and a willingness to make sacrifices to sustain that country. Liberals are dedicated to special interests over the common interests – that’s tribalism in another form, and tribes – see Minnesota’s Somali immigrant fraud for an example — dependably care about their interests over everyone else’s interests.
Competition vs. collectivism — Fair competition forces competency. Collectivism encourages corruption. Why? Because the former grasps and harnesses man’s inherent selfish nature while the latter pretends it doesn’t exist and thus unleashes it.
Maturity trumps anarchy — Watch the left’s protest methodology for a front row seat on why maturity matters as a counter to anarchy’s destructive mission. These destructors don’t shout, threaten, intimidate, attack, and drown out the opposition because they are on a mission of mercy. Hospital ships do not carry cannons.
Accountability over dependency — Personal responsibility is central to the preservation of liberty, safety, and everyman success. Dependency fosters just the opposite and that’s why conservatives actively resist the false – let us take care of you – narratives of the left and other social predators.
