The struggle of the individual: The will to be free

“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”
— Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

We stand today on the edge of a great revolution.

People are beginning to wake up and take control of their own lives because the state is trying to steal from them what few relative freedoms they have left.

The so-called “great reset” is no more than a clever euphemism for totalitarian rule by a self-appointed global elite and people are not buying it.

As our freedoms dwindle, people are beginning to wonder what true freedom really is?

Did we ever have it in the first place or was it just a grand illusion to make our social contract more agreeable?

Yet, today as the jackboots of oppression approach, I feel the resurrection of true freedom rising in my bones.

The human being is born free and only through the process of socialization and “education” ( some might say indoctrination) has this sense of freedom been rudely suppressed. The free-thinking individual is the ultimate challenge to the power of the state in its mad drive to power. What these self-appointed masters of the universe don’t realize is that the seed of freedom can never be eradicated. It is eternal and enduring beyond measure.

As I have written many times before, freedom is not a hand-me-down “right” granted magnanimously to us by men in fancy wigs, writing with fine quill pens dipped in the blood of revolution. That is what I call “parchment paper freedom” and it is only a kind of relative freedom. True freedom, though, flows from the individual not the state.

Real freedom we must seize for ourselves. We must have the will to be free within ourselves!

It is a state of heart and mind that, first and foremost, is free from fear.

To be free is to be one’s authentic self without reservation in good times and in bad, whatever the consequences.

The wings of our freedom are forged in the kiln of human suffering and can lift us above the fields of history’s last lament, where the ragweeds of tyranny have now taken over.

Today we must confront the tyrannical bird of prey that wants to devour every morsel of our precious freedom.

We must learn to assert our personal freedom whatever the consequences to ourselves.

We must each become our own variation of mythical Prometheus and steal a spark of freedom’s fire from the wardens of our incarceration. Freedom’s fire beckons to ignite the brushfires of humanity’s collective soul.

This is where the true revolution begins and ultimately never ends, for freedom’s road is the eternal road!

The home of the brave and the land of the free has largely been an illusion from the outset, although our founding fathers meant well and I thank them most heartily.

Modern materialism — sparked by the industrial revolution — has turned us into a race of wage and debt slaves. The recent COVID mandates demonstrate how fear has stolen our freedom.

We are not free; we are captive slaves of the state that regards us as their property. The last frontier for these rude occupiers is the complete colonization of the human mind and body.

Only the free individual can stop them dead in their tracks. The free individual is a creator of worlds whose life-affirming memes can spread like wildfire throughout the human race, breaking the shackles of our oppression.

In a recent article titled “Freedom Exists Outside of Society,” independent journalist Jon Rappoport writes that the essence of sanity is the understanding that “freedom exists within the individual. It doesn’t exist anywhere else. Freedom means choice. An individual either takes it or surrenders it.”

Rappoport goes on to point out that real mind control depends on our believing that we live inside something and this is the first fact of existence. It is how the government and other outside forces seek to control us. They take away our individuality and make us believe that we live inside something (which naturally only they understand and must control for our benefit). What they fail to realize is that anything that truly exists must live inside us first. Every life is unique and a world unto itself.

Can we ever be free — or is it just an ideal — that we must learn to approach as the moth approaches the candle flame? Ultimately we can’t know unless we try. Any concept of true, personal freedom, to me, must include the freedom to exercise one’s own creativity and imagination that is both life-affirming and enhancing.

We are literally tasked with creating ourselves from the bloody mists of this carbon phantasm we call life. True freedom begins with letting go of one’s selfish interests and respecting the lives and the freedom of other people.

What awaits us if we do not choose freedom is a cold, transhuman future that would douse the spark of human creativity and imagination, turning our carbon dreams into silicon nightmares.

Living, vibrant and creative neural networks captured by cold, calculating circuit boards and the grace of being human a faint memory etched in computer chips powered by the algorithms of obedience.

No thank you. I choose freedom!
