From Staff Reports
ASHEVILLE — Following the early and sudden resignation of Rondell Lance as chairman of the Buncombe County Republican Party, Roger Kumpf recently was chosen as his successor by the local party’s Executive Board.
The newsletter of the Buncombe County Republican Women’s Club noted the following about him:
“Roger comes to the BCGOP with a wealth of experience. After a career in the private sector, Roger moved into public service.
“His initial foray was with a presidential campaign. Then he joined the staff of U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry, who represented NC’s 10th District.
“Roger built a reputation for effectively navigating the intersections of federal, state, and local government to deliver solutions for constituents and organizations.
“He has diverse experience in public engagement, policy and intergovernmental coordination... We welcome Chairman Roger Kumpf to the BCGOP.”
