HENDERSONVILLE — While parking on Main Street and the adjoining avenues in downtown Hendersonville will jump from free to $2 per hour, from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday, beginning March 1, Assistant City Manager Brian Pahle said recently, he also pointed out that there is a bright side for those who remain determined not to pay for parking downtown.

Specifically, Pahle noted during a recent Business Morning Update that downtown on-street parking in Hendersonville will remain free after 7 p.m. daily and on Sundays, even after the new metered parking goes into effect.

As for other parking rates taking effect March 1, $1.50/hour will be charged at city-owned surface lots and in the parking deck.
