From Staff Reports

NEWTON, N.C. — A popular tribute show, “The Rat Pack — One More Time,” will feature actors-singers performing as, respectively, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr., accompanied by a live band at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the Newton Performing Arts Center, 60 West 6th Street, here.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

A promotion stated that the show promises “a nostalgic Vegas-style experience with classic hits, jokes — and the Fabulous Swinging Showgirls. It’s a chance to relive the 1960s’ glamour with uncanny impressions and big band music, capturing the camaraderie of the original Las Vegas icons...

“Audiences can expect a mix of timeless swing music, uncanny vocal impressions and the classic ‘roast and toast’ comedy sketches that defined the original trio’s camaraderie... The production typically features a live big band orchestra to capture the authentic Copa Room sound at the Sands Hotel... Ring-a-ding-ding!”

For tickets, which are $40-$45, visit online at www.NCAuditorium.com. Also, VIP Meet & Greet passes are available for an additional $100, but VIP tickets are not show tickets.
