The iconic rock group Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons — known for its soaring harmonies — will be paid tribute musically in two separate area shows in the near future, beginning with a local production of “Jersey Boys” — the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical — at 7:30 p.m. May 10  on the mainstage, Flat Rock Playhouse, 2661 Greenville Highway, Flat Rock. 

“Jersey Boys,” which tells the story of the ups and downs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, along with performances of the group’s chart-topping hits featuring tight choreography, will run May 10 through June 1, with varying showtimes. Meanwhile, the group Let’s Hang On — #1 Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will perform one-night only — at 7:30 p.m. May 18 — at the Newton Performing Arts Center, 60 W. 6th St., in Newton .

A promotion of the Let’s Hang On tribute show stated, “This powerhouse group will perform all of the Frankie Valli mega-hits, including ‘Sherry,’ ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry,’ ‘Walk Like a Man,’ ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,’ ‘Decemenber of 1963’ and ‘Who Loves You.’”
