WALHALLA, S.C. — The Invaders will perform a musical salute to the British Invasion groups (1964-67) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Walhalla Performing Arts Center, 101 E. North Broad St., here.
Also featured separately at the concert will be The Vintage Vixens, an all-female group, that will perform a mix of 1960s rock-pop classics.
The Invaders’ tribute will include the songs by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Animals, The Who, The Hollies, Manfred Mann, The Yardbirds, The Dave Clark Five, The Zombies, The Troggs and many others.
Meanwhile, The Vintage Vixens group bills itself as representing “real ‘Flower Power’ — peace, love and Vintage Vixens!â€
Also, a promotion described the group as “inspired by ‘60s fashion, on stage these ladies look like the music — groovy, funky, hippie!â€
Vintage’s playlist includes the top hits from The Mamas and the Papas, The Turtles, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Drifters, Nancy Sinatra, The Supremes, Dusty Springfield, The Byrds, The Young Rascals, The Kings, CCR “and some ‘70s favorites, too, like Three Dog Night.â€
