Kelley & the Cowboys, a Crumpler-based band, will perform from 5:30 to 9:15 p.m. Aug. 6 in the gazebo facing the Village Green at Antler Hill Village at Asheville’s Biltmore Estate.
The band will perform what it described as “high-energy, nostalgic Western swing and rockabilly†music in the AHV Bandstand outdoor concert series.
“If you love real country music, the kind they used to make in the heyday of classic country, you are in the right place!†a band promotion stated. “Kelley has been called ‘more Patsy Cline than Patsy Cline’ by The Raleigh News and Observer, and is said to have ‘a barn burnin’ attitude, with the boots to match.’â€
Founded in 2005 by female vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kelley Breiding, Kelley and The Cowboys are a four-piece band ... who put their signature sound on old standards and original music in a style heavily influenced by early forms of Western swing, rockabilly, country and blues.â€
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawnchairs.For admittance, attendees must be Biltmore Estate guests, passholders, or guests of passholders.
