GREER, S.C — The Charlotte, N.C.-based band Trial by Fire will perform a tribute to the iconic arena rock band Journey at 8 p.m. Feb. 18 in The  Spinning Jenny at 107 Cannon St., downtown here. 

“Journey is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1973 by former members of Santana, Steve Miller Band, and Frumious Bandersnatch,” Wikipedia noted.

“Journey had their biggest commercial success between 1978 and 1987, when Steve Perry was lead vocalist; they released a series of hit songs, including ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ (1981), which in 2009 became the top-selling track in iTunes history among songs not released in the 21st century. “

As for the Greer concert, an event promotion stated, “Hear all the hits and your favorite tunes from Journey. All ages” will be admitted. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
