From Staff Reports

EASLEY, S.C. — Purple Madness, billed as “America’s No. 1 Prince tribute,” will perform at 7 p.m. Oct 14 in the amphitheater on Old Market Square, West 1st Avenue and South 1st St., here.

The show, which is part of Easley’s 2022 Rock at the Clock outdoor concert series with a “legends” theme, will be preceded at 6:30 p.m. by what is billed as “family fun” — face-painting, bounce houses and other options.

Among the other “legends” concerts for this season’s series were  tributes to Sir Elton John, the Allman Brothers, Cher and Bill Medley.

Regarding the show, the band’s promotion stated, “ The ‘Purple Madness’ is the ultimate celebration of the most widely beloved entertainer and profoundly influential artist of all-time.

“Bobby Miller (performing as Prince) presents an electrifying performance that can be best described as, high energy and a ‘must-see’ performance.

“The Prince Purple Madness Tribute Show has all but perfected every last nuance in recreating the sights and sounds of (‘the artist formerly known as’) Prince.

“It is with great honor and utmost reverence that The Prince Tribute Band was formed. For anyone who wasn’t fortunate enough to have witnessed Prince live show, the experience was undeniably one of the best live performances on the planet. It was with this idea in mind that Bobby Miller chose to re-create some of Prince’s most memorable concert moments.”

Admission to the Easley show is free.
