NEWBERRY, S.C. — The Night Fever Bee Gees Tribute band will perform a salute to its namesakes at 8 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Newberry Opera House, 1201 McKibben St., here.
Songwriters, record-makers, performers, the three brothers Gibb (from whence the group’s name was derived) included Barry — and twins Robin and Maurice. Only Barry survives.
Regarding the show, an event promotion stated, “Night Fever is the world’s No. 1 production of The Bee Gees and will take you back in time to one of the greatest bands in pop history.
“From the early years to the disco era, you will hear all the hits from ‘To Love Somebody,’ ‘More Than a Woman,’ ‘Jive Talkin’,’ to ‘You Should Be Dancing.’
“The Bee Gees span over 50 years of hit songs and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
