GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The Prince tribute band, Purple Xperience, featuring Marshall Charloff, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center at 212 Tusculum Boulevard here.

The show is billed as “the most authentic and awe-inspiring celebration of Prince in the world.”

Hailing from Prince’s birthplace, Minneapolis, Minn., this five-piece group has been touring around the country since its inception in 2011 by Dr. Fink and front-man Marshall Charloff.

“Purple Xperience delivers the greatest production of Prince and the Revolution in the world to audiences of all generation,” a band promotion stated. “Purple Xperience has entertained well over 300,000 fans, and has shared the stage with The Time, Cameo, Fetty Wap, Gin Blossoms, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Cheap Trick.

“Charloff styles the magic of Prince’s talent in an uncannily unmatched fashion with his appearance, vocal imitation and multi-instrumental capacity on guitar and piano.

“A celebrated producer and recording artist, he has written, produced and recorded with the Commodores and Little Anthony and the Imperials.”

Dedicated as a tribute to the life of icon Prince, Purple Masquerade consists of El Cavitt performing the role of Prince, J.C. Teasley on bass guitar, Mike E on guitar, Aaron Oatneal and Jason Bolyejack on drums, along with Chanteau Teasley and Mike Johnson on keys.

El Cavitt was Prince’s stunt double in the movie “Graffitti Bridge,” as well as a few of Prince’s videos.
