Tribute act to play ‘legendary sound of Eagles’ on Jan. 28

NEWBERRY, S.C. —  Hotel California: The Eagles Experience — an Eagles tribute band — will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Jan. 28 at Newberry Opera House here.

“For more than three decades now Hotel California has been recreating the legendary sound of The Eagles and thrilling audiences all over the world,” an event promotion stated.

“You will know all the hits from ‘Lyin’ Eyes’ to ‘Tequila Sunrise,’ from ‘Take It Easy’ to ‘Hotel California.’ Legions of Eagles fans come back to see Hotel California time after time.”

The Eagles began in early 1971, when singerLinda Ronstadt and her then-manager John Boylan recruited local musicians Glenn Frey and Don Henley for her band.

The Eagless bestselling song was “Take It Easy,” followed by “Witchy Woman.” Both songs were released in 1972.

The Eagles’ “notable works” were “Desperado,” “Hotel California” and “Long Road Out of Eden,” according to Britannica.com.
