Impressionism exhibit to run through April 19

The art show “Across the Atlantic: American Impressionism Through the French Lens,” which began Jan. 22, will continue through April 19 at the Asheville Art Museum at 2 South Pack Square in downtown Asheville.

Drawn from the collection of the Reading Public Museum, the exhibit examines the relationship between French Impressionism of the 1870s and 1880s and the American interpretation of the style in the decades that followed.

More than 75 paintings and works on paper are featured by sartists such as Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt and John Singer.

The show, recurring weekly on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
