Thirty people dressed like Santa Claus staged a mini-invasion of Pritchard Park in downtown Asheville last Saturday afternoon. The group was† participating in ìSantaCon,î traveling around in a large bus, staging a snowball fight with manufactured snow, singing risquÈ Christmas carols and giving out gifts. SantaCon was started in San Francisco in 1994 by the Cacophony Society and has since spread to dozens of cities worldwide. This year marked Ashevilleís first SantaCon. Staff photo by JIM GENARO
