Trump’s notion of making America great again worked better than the left anticipated.

Predictably, anything that works against their agenda is immediately vilified, discredited and mocked. 

Don’t buy the hysteria.

 Yes, MAGA sets the left’s hair on fire and perhaps that’s why their reasoning is so circularly dysfunctional.

Another explanation is found in the fact you can spot intellectual bankruptcy wherever feelings are confused with thoughts. 

Similarly, a reliance on personal attacks, false facts, assumptions and recycled deceptions marks an empty frontal lobe combined with an enlarged amygdala. That’s a bad combo.

To illustrate the point, the notion of MAGA is not even a Trump original. Ronald Reagan coined the phrase in the ‘80s, and this is going to be fun, Bill Clinton recycled it during his presidency. 

I hope I didn’t break any hearts with that last little gem.

But enough of my having fun at the expense of the innocent. 

Just what did I mean by “MAGA versus MASA?”

So glad you asked.

Reduce the opposition —  Attorneys have a saying, “If the facts are on your side, pound on the facts. If the facts on not on your side, pound on the table.” Liberal-progressive-socialist-woke-Democrats have to pound on the table so hard that it clearly causes traumatic brain injury.

Assumption gumption — The willingness of the folks cloaked in blue to presume to understand the motives and mission of their opponents leads to folly. Sun Tzu, in “The Art of War,” offered the caution, that to win, it is crucial one know one’s enemy. Here’s to hoping the left continues to lazily pretend they know us. Their relentless tendency to artificially demean truth reveals a doomed movement.

Des noms est essential — The left loves to give things they like or don’t like witty names. Destroying new life (big yes) is “Reproductive Health.” Proof of citizenship for voting (big no) is “Jim Crow 2.0.” Make America Great Again (really big no) is “Trumpian Fascism.” Their’s is a pretty slick effort to convert a sow’s ear into a silk purse (old school local yahoo attempt to duplicate the left’s noms model). Dog poo-poo is dog poo-poo no matter how hard you try to pretend it is “naturally processed organic fertilizer.”

Kindhearted hate — Nowhere do our friends on the other end of the spectrum reveal their wickedness than through the word “hate.”. One can talk peace, love and compassion, but it is in your actions that your character and sincere dedications are revealed. Make an attempt to disagree with woke devotees. You can count on an immediate exposure to the look of death, animosity, rejection, character assignation, ignorant arrogance, mockery and/or dismissal. Those are all forms of hate adorned with blue lip gloss. 

Attack, attack, attack — Several decades ago, a movie by the name of “Mars Attacks” hit the big screen. Every actor in Hollywood got together for a weekend and had a good time spoofing spaceship invasion possibilities. The big-headed Martians variously practiced deception, dishonesty, manipulation, violence, dominance, genocide, and/or the old “exploding head” anger trick to get what they wanted. It worked until it didn’t (local yahoo country-western music turned their angry exploding heads into real exploding heads and the good guys – yahoos, patriots, MAGA-type people, and other normies – won. The antics of today’s leftist movement reminds me of “Mars Attacks.” We seem close to the point where their heads explode. Look for deposits of gooey, gelatinous blue gunk as evidence of progress.

In our region, the HQ for the left’s counter to making America great again (what a soothing notion MAGA is for normal folks and our broader troubled world) is Asheville. 

MASA? It stands for Make America Slaves Again.

Don’t buy it? Look at LA, NY, Portland, Chicago, or anywhere else the boys, girls, and others on the left are in control. You work for them and their special interests – not the reverse notion affirmed in our constitution. 

Here’s why Asheville is a not-so-secret MASA enclave.

Liberals, progressives, socialists, and/or woke Democrats – as measure by voting record among other things – control every elected office in the city and the county.

Is anyone on their side concerned with this hegemony? Not one bit. Not even a little teenie-weenie bit.

Their mission has been power all along and that fake interest in “diversity” is just camouflage.

Animosity toward making America great again is mostly designed to (1) preserve left-minded loyalties, (2) distract voters from the left’s hollow promises and pretensions and (3) as a temper-tantrum against those who would steal their control.

The real right of MAGA is an effective counter to the false liberalism of MASA.

That’s the real reason they mock the platinum goal of making America great again.  A great America will make them irrelevant.
