John Bolton, the former United Nations ambassador, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s annual Charles Taylor Christmas Dinner at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Crowne Plaze Resort Asheville at 1 Resort Drive in West Asheville.
Also appearing will be N.C. House Spekaer Tim Moore, R-Cleveland.
Bolton served in government positions for both Bush presidencies and in the Reagan administration. His career includes being under-secretary of state for arms control and international security from 2001 to 2005 and U.N. ambassador in 2005 and 2006.
He is known for his skepticism of U.S. policies and practices and has been critical of a multi-lateral approach to U.S. foreign policy issues.
