Free public housing urged in Hendersonville
Sunday, 03 May 2026 23:11

Local public housing should be free housing.

Poor folks can’t afford a $501.20 “move-in” fee.

Poor folls can’t afford $288.00 in monthly rent. Poor folks can’t afford a monthly utilities bill.

Public housing should be free housing.

It’s not just for the benefit of the poor. It’s also for the benefit of the community.

Number one, it (free public housing) will help to stabilize the housing situation in the community.

And, number two, free public housing will result in less poor people falling into homelessness — and it will result in more unhoused poor moving out of homelessness and into a housed situation.

I repeat! Free public housing is a great way to combat homelessness.

Free public housing is a safety net for those in free fall towards homelessness. And free public housing offers the homeless a step out of homelessness.

But can Hendersonville afford subsidized public housing?

Yes! Hendersonville is affuent!

And when the Democrats return to power, they will restore Medicaid. And Medicaid will finance the subsidization of free public housing.

Donald Trump (aka ‘Doctor Christ’) will lose feud with pope

Pope Leo XIV succinctly summed up Donald Trump’s disgusting existence the other day with a three word phrase: “darkness and filth.”

The darkness and filth of Donald Trump’s demagoguery is recognized for the obvious evil that it is by the people of this world and by the vast majority of American voters, which spells certain doom for the sacrilegious Republican Party at the ballot box in November 2026.

Good riddance, GOP. Get the federal prison cells ready for these plutocratic pedophiles.

Perhaps demented Donald (AKA “Jesus Trump” or “Doctor Christ”) can explain to the Christian contingent of the American public, which is the vast majority, why demonic Donald (who wouldn’t know what the Holy Bible was, even if you hit him over his empty orange head with it) insists upon a daily feud with Pope Leo.

I feel quite confident in predicting our first American pope will win the ongoing argument with Trump, just like Democrats will win this year’s midterm election in a massive landslide of historically impressive proportions.

Trump’s rhetoric and the politics of death

In his address to the nation, President Trump said the U.S. would bomb Iran back to the Stone Age, “where they belong.”

He even threatened to destroy “electric generating plants.”

What will this mean for the most vulnerable, such as hospital patients, the elderly and newborns in intensive care?

Historian and political theorist Achille Mbembe, author of Necropolitics, coined the term “death-worlds,” describing how the powerful impose conditions on populations that amount to a living death.

Mbembe writes, “The ultimate expression of sovereignty largely resides in the power and capacity to dictate who is able to live and who must die.”  Gaza is a notable example.

Have we forgotten that, shortly after 9/11, some 60,000 fans at a soccer match in Iran observed a minute of silence for the victims? Or that thousands in Tehran held candlelit vigils, showing solidarity and compassion?

We must reject Trump’s dehumanizing language, reclaim our shared humanity, and choose diplomacy over destruction.

Vance’s RNC finance chair triggers 2028 speculation

hile Hormuz news, U.S. Cabinet chaos and Trump tweets continue to dominate news cycles, there has been a notable move at the RNC that has caught the attention of those already focused on 2028 presidential politics.

That’s because Vice President JD Vance has become the first VP to serve as the RNC’s finance chair.

That’s a very big deal, because it’s a stairway to big-time GOPster financiers.

BTW, Vance is known to regularly give out his cellphone number to major donors.

Particularly prominent among those noting Vance’s RNC position: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who’s also evaluating 2028 White House scenarios.

Unless, of course, he’s more focused on an el jefe de Cuba role.

‘Interesting’ allocations by U.S. government alleged

It’s interesting the U.S. has plenty of resources to attack other countries, where it has no interest, yet has none to stop being invaded itself.

‘Immoral war’ waged by U.S., Israel denounced

I join people across North Carolina and the entire nation in denouncing the United States and Israel’s illegal and immoral war with Iran.

President’s Trump threat on Tuesday (April 7) was that “A whole civilization will die tonight” if a deal was not reached is unconscionable.

As a veteran, I am appalled by Trump’s threat to commit war crimes in Iran.Trump initially claimed that this war was intended to advance the freedom and self-determination of the Iranian people, but it is clear that this war has only deepened the suffering of the Iranian people and undermined the possibility of their liberation.

Today we are witnessing a singular moment in American history.

If Congress does not intercede, they are complicit in this act of terror being committed by our nation.

This war is a moral failure that we cannot accept.

War against Iran called not only illegal, but immoral

I join people around the world denouncing the U.S. and Israel’s illegal and immoral war with Iran.

It reflects a profound disregard for U.S. constitution and sacredness of human life.

President Trump’s threat on April 7 that “A whole civilization will die tonight” if deal not reached is unconscionable and a sign of his depravity.

My faith and conscience cause me outrage toward threatened inhumanity, and evil actions that follow.

Have we no soul or moral courage to resist?

Congress has the right but seems devoid of will to act on behalf of Americans.

As a taxpayer, I’m deeply offended that tax dollars fund violence and unlawful actions instead of essential services and investments to protect our future.

Education suffers. Health suffers. The entire moral direction of our country is wrong. Values are reflected by how we spend our resources.

I object as grandmother with grandsons aged 18 to 25, required to register for military draft and possibly to serve in this immoral war.

This war does not make American citizens safer!

We must reject any narrative claiming that our safety and freedom depend on the oppression of anyone.

Today we witness a singular moment in American history.

Congress, if does not intercede, is complicit in this act of terror being committed by our nation.

We can’t claim moral credibility in world if we don’t unequivocally denounce Trump’s threat to end an entire civilization.

This war is a moral failure that we cannot accept. Congress must act to end this travesty.

War against Iran called not only illegal, but immoral

Considering that Americans have given Israel $330 billion, I wonder, “What have Israelis ever done for America?”

Apparently, a lot. I asked AI, “How many Jewish organizations help illegal immigrants legally and financially to enter America?”

AI’s response: “There is a vast, interconnected network of Jewish organizations in America, numbering over eighty-five active in coalitions and more than 500 represented by leadership, that provide legal, financial, and resettlement assistance to immigrants and refugees... Legal Services: Representation in immigration court, assistance with asylum applications, Green Cards, citizenship applications, and family-based petitions.”

Some of these organizations have met illegals at our border, offering bags of snacks, water and copies of border patrol documents explaining how to fill out these forms, what to say and what not to say, instructing them to ditch their IDs.

They assist those from Nigeria, Somalia, India and Middle Eastern nations. There are numerous Jewish organizations across Europe, supporting the infiltration of illegals. These European countries are now criminal hellholes.

As a result of Jewish assistance, we now have an additional 15-20 million illegals.

Illegals are destroying American culture, creating a huge economic burden costing billions as we pay for their housing, EBT, and Medicaid.

Our schools are overcrowded as we teach children who don’t speak English. They have taken Americans’ jobs. They have committed rapes, murders, smuggling fentanyl, and looting our businesses and homes. And now Zionist George Soros’ organizations are fighting ICE.

Why would these Jews do this to America? How many immigrants does Israel grant citizenship? Zero.

To become a citizen in Israel, you must be the child of a Jewish mother, except for Jews who have become Christians.

Converting somehow makes their birth by a Jewish mother null and void.

Remember, Zionist Christians tell us, “God blesses those who bless Israel”

Feeling blessed yet?
