U.S. allies are ‘Social Democrats’ (not ‘socialists’)
While I was recently watching an episode of “Amanpour And Company†on television, the host and the interviewee were discussing President (Joe) Biden’s “Build Back Better†proposal.
Amanpour suddenly said something like this — â€Of course, we here in Europe already have most of his social program proposals, and we take them for granted.â€That happens to be true.
But I asked myself this — â€I wonder what percentage of Americans know this? I wonder what percentage of Americans know that our allies in Western Europe, Canada, Australia and Scandanavia already have most of these social programs that we do not have?â€
My guess would be that only 10 percent of Republicans do and that only 20 percent of Democrats do.
My best guess would also be that close to 0 percent of our allies consider themselves to be some kind of “socialist†or “Marxist†or “radical-leftist.â€
They know that they are mostly “Social Democrats†and that they do not live in a socialist country.

America descending into Hell, reader maintains
An America, which once proposed to Glorify God, and promote His Word around the World, is now descending to the depths of Hell.
One can see that every single day, including yesterday’s (Dec. 2) Supreme Court arguments, questions and answers concerning abortion.
Unfortunately, I missed too much of what was said. But God and His Laws probably never came up. Even the case they were arguing about was ungodly, as it allowed abortions up to the 14th week.
It seems like America has forgotten all about God, who created Heaven and Earth, and everything in them, including themselves. They forgotten all of God’s just laws and His commandments.
Besides loving God we are to love one another. That includes loving the smalless human beings, the UNBORN!
They also forgot that God holds each individual accountable for their actions, and that He will hold each nation accountable too.
America is a Nation and will be judged as a nation, not by each state. America is already under Judgement.
The Supreme Court has done tremendous damage to our country and is primarily responsible for the ungodliness going on in America today. They forgot there is an Almighty God and that His Laws are to be obeyed. God said, “Do good.â€
The only rightful thing they can do is to ban all abortions and return God and His Word back in schools and all government buildings! Perhaps then they can start wearing white robes instead of black.
The ungodly decision made by the Supreme Court in Roe V. Wade resulted in America’s greatest tragedy, which is the HORRIFIC murder of millions of precious innocent human beings! The judges who disobeyed God are most likely in Hell.
For those who were fooled into believing you had a right to abort your baby, you need to know, you didn’t. Also, that God sent His Son Jesus to save and to judge. Seek Jesus to Save you, thereby avoiding judgment!

ADP accused of displaying Trump Derangement Syndrome in its Cawthorn coverage
I accidentally picked up the ADP (Asheville Daily Planet) and, not to my surprise, your incessent attacks on (U.S. Rep. Madison) Cawthorn (R-Hendersonville) remain unchecked — and are now bordering on all-out Trump Derangement Syndrome.
I can only assume someone pulls your editorial strings.
So, how much of your revenue stream does come from the Right Wing Terrorist Group Lincoln Project?
That you quote in your biweekly Cawthorn hate mail (letters to the editor) the biggest RINOs in North Carolina exposes you completely, John (North, the Daily Planet’s editor and publisher). Sorry! Keep it up and your little paper just becomes the itty-bitty ACT (Asheville Citizen Times).
Not sure how that is an economically viable alternative when the money dries up from The Lincoln Project hate group.
I will give you credit for a good story about the systemically racist Rachel Evans. Wow. Only BC (Buncome County) could come up with a (expletive deleted) brainwashed, hate-filled bigot to fill an “equity†position.

Why does Planet allow‘anonymous’ political ads?
When a person writes a letter to the editor expressing their opinion, you (the Daily Planet) rightly require them to sign their name.
Yet you printed a very biased ad on page A3 of the December 01-14 issue that says only (that) it was paid for by a local patriotic citizen.
If you are going to publish political ads, your readers deserve to know who is behind the ad.

At present, the newspaper takes a libertarian approach of allowing the ad buyer to identify specifically — or not. Reader finds 2 mistakes: one on Ghost Town in the Sky closing, other in ad touting Burt Reynolds’ ‘start’ at park
Two mistakes in your Nov. 15-30, 2021 publication (of the Daily Planet):
1. The front page. Ghost Town in the Sky has not been closed since 2002.It was open from 2007-2009 — and opened again in 2013-14.
I know this to be true, as I worked there all but one season mentioned.
2. Page A14 (in a Daily Planet “house†ad touting the newspaper’s recent expansion of its distribution into Maggie Valley), Burt Reynolds did not get “his start in his storied acting career as a gunfighter at the Maggie Valley theme park.â€
He first appeared on “Gunsmoke†in 1962.
He was a guest star at Ghost Town (in the Sky) in 1963.
