WALHALLA, S.C. – The band Randomonium will perform Pink Floyd’s iconic album “The Dark Side of the Moon” — in its entirety — at 7:30 p.m. May 15 in the Walhalla Performing Arts Center 101 East North Broad Street, here.
Regarding the show, a WPAC promotion stated that the concert will provide “a cosmic voyage through Pink Floyd’s most-recognizable album — performed LIVE and IN FULL — by Greenville, S.C.-based band Randomonium.”
The promotion also stated that the “Dark Side of the Moon” performance will be “followed by a high-energy set of ‘70s classic rock.”
Meanwhile, the Daily Planet asked AI Overview why the album is important.
“Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ (1973) is significant for its pioneering studio production, cohesive exploration of universal human pressures (time, greed, death, mental health), and immense commercial success,” AI Overview answered.
“It redefined the concept album by using advanced sound engineering —including tape splicing and early synthesizers —to create a seamless, immersive soundscape...
“The album functions as a reflection on the human condition, with its lyrical content and sonic textures still deemed relevant today...”
