NEWBERRY, S.C. — The Deas-Guyz Band will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Jan 6 in the Newberry Opera House, 1201 McKibben St., here.

Among its notable performances, the band lists its August 2014 show that featured “A Tribute to R&B Legend Luther Vandross” at The Jazz Corner.

As for the show, a promotion stated, “Their range of musical selections includes sounds of The Temptations, The Drifters, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye; Bob Marley classics; the lover’s rock style of Gregory Isaacs and Dennis Brown; to the hip hop sounds of Lauren Hill, R.
