on the first-place prize of $500 in the slope-style ski competition that drew 22 competitors last weekend at the new terrain park, Park Place, at Wolf Ridge Ski Resort, formerly Wolf Laurel.
Finishing second and winning $250 was Seth McCurrey of Asheville. Rounding out the top five were Danny Wilcox, Cameron Snyder and Jared Oldre.
In a reference to skiing conditions during the competition last weekend, Lodge Manager John Goin said, "These are the best conditions yet this year! Weëre wide open with new slopes and a new quad lift. Weëre also shooting for our longest season ever."
