UNCA ends losing streak with 77-67 win at Radford

RADFORD, Va. ÇƒÓ UNC Asheville ended a three-game losing streak with a 77-67 win over Radford in Big South Conference menës basketball last Thursday night.

Three players for UNCA (6-13, 2-3) scored in double figures, led by sophomore Reid Augst, who tied a career-high with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Also chipping in were Vincent James with 13 points and Joey Harrell, 10 points.

Meanwhile, Radford ((7-13, 2-3) was led by Chris Oliver,  who netted 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds; and Reggie McIntyre, 13 points and 15 rebounds.


 
UNCA, which registered scoring from all 10 members of the squad, shot better than 60 percent from the field for most of the game. The Bulldogs shot 46 percent (6-of-13) on 3-pointers. UNCA led 40-17 with 2 minutes left until halftime.

In contrast, the Highlands shot 31 percent from the field and 9 percent (2-for-21) behind the arc.
