The Asheville Tourists ripped the Rome (Ga.) Braves 4-1 to complete a series sweep in baseball on July 6 at McCormick Field in Asheville.
Robinson Fabian (2-2) pitched six innings as Asheville secured the four-game sweep and registered its sixth consecutive victory. The Tourists had lost three straight games prior to the winning streak.
While Fabian uncharacteristically walked four Braves, he also did not allow a hit until the fourth inning. He finished with one unearned run on four hits and registered six strikeouts.
