UNC Asheville amassed 22 hits to win the final game of its Big South Conference series with Charleston Southern University 11-7 at Greenwood Field this past Sunday.
UNCA (22-30, 5-13) was paced by Justin Schumer, Chris Freeman and Catlin Carter, who swatted four hits each.
Registering the victory for the Bulldogs was Graham Baughn (2-1), who allowed nine hits and five runs in seven innings. He struck out four Bucaneers and walked three.
Bucs freshman Keith Hustedt hit a home run in the top of the eighth to pull the CSU baseball team within one, but UNCA scored three runs in the bottom half to secure the win and avoid a series sweep.
