Four Asheville Tourists players were selected to the year-end South Atlantic League All-Star team, the league announced on Aug. 27.

The selectees included catcher Michael McKenry, first baseman Michael Paulk, second baseman Daniel Mayora and shortstop Hector Gomez. Gomez finished in a tie for the top honor with Augustaís Emmanuel Burris.

As of Aug. 26, McKenry ranked fourth in SAL slugging percentage and seventh in home runs, and has been among the leaders in throwing out baserunners.

Meanwhile, Paulk is second in SAL RBIs, Mayora ranks 10th in batting average and leads the league in doubles, and Gomez ranks third in triples and sixth in runs scored.
