Four ASU games chosen to be televised this season
Tuesday, 03 July 2007 11:32

BOONE ó Four Appalachian State football games have been chosen for live television broadcasts this season, the Big Ten and Southern Conference announced recently.

ASUís Sept. 1 season-opener at Michigan will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network, while road dates at Wofford (Sept. 22) and Furman (Oct. 27) and the regular-season finale against Chattanooga at Kidd Brewer Stadium (Nov. 17) will all be carried on SportSouth.

The noon Sept. 1 kickoff between ASU and U-M will mark the first-ever live football broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Projected to launch in 18-19 million homes in August, the Big Ten Network is a national cable/satellite programming service, giving ASU five consecutive games on national television, dating back to last seasonís NCAA Division I playoffs opener versus Coastal Carolina.

ASUís Mountaineers, who have never played a Big Ten opponent, will travel to Ann Arbor for the game.
