Elif Unlu

CHARLOTTE ó The Big South Conference recently named Elif Unlu, a senior volleyball player, as UNC Ashevilleís Woman of the Year.

Unlu, a three-time volleyball all-conference standout whose record includes two first-team selections, earned BSC All-Tournament team honors twice and was selected as UNCAís Female Athlete of the Year in 2006.

The Izmir, Turkey, native finished her UNCA career fourth in kills, sixth in digs, third in attempts and fifth in service aces.
