UNC Asheville outside hitter Elif Unlu was named last week to the All-East Region team, the first volleyball player in UNCA??s history to earn such an honor, by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Unlu led the Bulldogs to 25-7 overall and ended second place in the Big South tournament.
In 117 games this season, Unlu posted 476 kills (4.07 per game) and 423 digs (3.26 per game).
In her three seasons at UNCA, Unlu has snagged 1,197 career kills and 1,059 career digs. With one season remaining, she is sixth on UNCA??s all-time kill list.
