CHARLESTON, S.C. รณ The Citadel scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to edge UNC Asheville 4-3 in baseball on Feb. 25 at Riley Park.
With two outs in the ninth, The Citadel (5-4) secured the win when Matt Arnold scored from first base on a single by Kyle Jordan.
Earlier, UNCA (3-7) staged comebacks after The Citadel twice had taken the lead.
Taking the loss for the Bulldogs was Ben Buchanan (0-3), who pitched two scoreless innings in relief before allowing Arnold to hit a single and Jordan to bat in in the game-winning run in the ninth.
