Affluent shoppers asked to stop buying clothing, shoes at thrift shops
Sunday, 05 April 2026 11:30

I don’t approve of the social media-created fad that consists of people who can afford to purchase their clothing in retail stores and in online shopping, instead buying their clothing in second-hand thrift stores and searching for something old and vintage and antique.

The result is what’s left for the poor is picked-over clothing, which isn’t right because second-hand thrift store cloting is for the poor — and it’s all they (the poor) can afford.

I’m well aware that second-hand thrift stores help support charities, but when the better off are “slumming” in second-hand thrift stores, they should help to support the charities running thrift shops by buying everything BUT clothing and shoes.

Leave clothing and shoes for the poor!

U.S. on wrong path, as pope claims  ‘God cannot be enlisted in darkness’

U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth believes that God is on the side of war.

Regarding Operation Epic Fury in Iran, he invoked Psalm 144, praying, “Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.”

Hegseth also boasted that U.S. attacks on Iran will have “no stupid rules of engagement,” and that there will be “death and destruction from the sky all day long.”

Growing evidence indicates that the U.S. is likely responsible for an airstrike on an Iranian girls’ school that killed 168 people, including more than 100 children. In 2025, the Trump administration discarded a Pentagon plan to prevent civilian casualties.

Pope Leo XIV has affirmed that “God cannot be enlisted in darkness” and “War is not holy; only peace is holy because it is willed by God.”

President Trump rejected Pope Leo’s call for a ceasefire in Iran, responding, “You don’t do a ceasefire when you’re literally obliterating the other side.”

May we, as a nation, reflect on what we mean by Christian values.

Congress urged to amend Epstein Transparency Act

New Mexico is quietly and efficiently showing the rest of the country how you get justice for the Epstein victims.

Upon seeing a report from the Epstein files of “foreign girls” who died at his property within the state, Zorro Ranch, they instituted an Epstein Truth Commission, searched the property, requested that DOJ allow them access to the unredacted Epstein file, and just two days ago, put out a Request for Proposal to hire a law firm to analyze evidence and interview survivors and other witnesses.

They are moving from the “hopes and prayers” stage of reacting to this horror to the only stage that matters: doing something about it.

I urge Congress to amend the Epstein Transparency Act to allow prosecutors for any state with a nexus to the crimes (including N.M., N.Y., and Fla., where Epstein had homes, and N.J,. where he flew in and out of with victims) access to the full, unredacted Epstein materials, including videos Epstein made of perpetrators abusing victims.

The files represent an incredible store of raw evidence of crime.

DOJ has not and most likely will not do anything with this evidence, so they need to turn it over to the people who can — and will.

The Epstein survivors, and all of us, deserve no less.

To demonstrate Barron Trump’s patriotism, let him be drafted

Twenty-year-old Barron Trump is the latest in a long line of cowards going back to his great-grandfather Frederick, who infamously fled Bavaria in order to dodge the German military draft at that time (in 1885), and upon Frederick Trump’s subsequent return in 1905, he was banished from Germany for life for cowardice.

This lunatic lineage, of course, includes Barron’s brain-damaged father — the demented Mad King Donald Trump himself — with his five Vietnam War-era military draft deferments.

Draft dodger Donald said he can’t remember which foot he claimed to have his fake bone spurs in. What a liar! It’s 25th Amendment time.

Pernicious Jewish supremacist “Israel Firsters” like psycho Stephen Miller (R-Santa Monica High School) and (expletive deleted) Lindsey Graham (expletive deleted), Republican senator from South Carolina, have cooked up a war that you don’t want and have no rational reason to fight. How does this war benefit you personally?

This is a purposefully disastrous debacle in the Persian Gulf region to deflect from public attention on “The Diddler” Donald Trump’s staggeringly sick, alleged sex crimes against numerous children detailed to a grotesque extent in the Epstein Files.

Operation “Epstein Fury” must end immediately without delay, or one unwanted word from our problematic, pro-pedophile “friends” in evil Israel, or within “their” illegally occupied Arab Palestine.

Benjamin Netanyahu is dead, by the way. Praise Jesus!

I have a question for Israel Firsters: Are you alright with the “Jewish state” of Israel being henceforth internationally known for only two things in the 21st century: mass murder and pedophilia?

What a cruel combination of attributes for God’s former “Chosen People” —  let’s be brutally honest about the horrifically homicidal nature of Jewish supremacy, shall we? Jesus was.

Jesus Christ called it “The Synagogue of Satan” for good reason, as you may recall from Revelation 3:9 and your hometown church.

New Testament Jesus was never one to pull his rhetorical punches against evil and greed.

Israel is an idiotic, fascist popsicle stand with illegal nukes and ridiculous religious zealots whose failed philosophy of the far-Right in Tel Aviv is doomed to total defeat and retreat due to Israel’s unavoidable reliance on the unofficial, counterproductive military “alliance” with America, which will be coming to an inglorious end sooner rather than later if American voters have anything to say about it officially in the next couple of scheduled biennial national elections.

Just another reason why deranged Donald Trump the wannabe dictator is desperately attempting to cancel the midterm election this November for Congress, state and local offices. (Trump will, of course, fail, like usual.)

End this war, folks, then no more money for child-molesting Israeli war criminal thieves ever.

In MAGAmerica vs. Iran, president is roiling in flux

America First” has been around awhile — about as long as America has seen the self-serving side of foreign and domestic policy decisions.

In its Trump iteration, however, it’s either “America Alone” or “American Fist.” We’ve seen them both in the Iran attack.

A war of choice sans endgame or ally notification is hardly in America’s interest. This one is “haphazard” and “not well thought out,” asserts John Bolton, Trump’s former national security advisor.

Calling allies “cowards,” as Trump has done, hardly helps.

Civilian casualties have continued to mount as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth denounces “stupid rules of engagement.”

The Strait of Hormuz, through which more than a fifth of the world’s oil supply travels, has been choked by Iran--thus wreaking havoc on world energy markets.

Iran has also attacked neighboring Arab countries and turned the region into a chaotic Muddled East.

Moreover, Trump has been duped by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose endgame prioritizes permanent Israeli control over the West Bank, no two-state scenario and re-election this year. Most Israelis, as opposed to most Americans, back the war.

But this is now MAGAmerica. Trump said he was against “forever wars” and cites Iraq. That was President George W. Bush’s post 9/11 mess.

What he really needs to reference is President George H.W. Bush’s handling of the war that drove Iraq and Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait. The U.S. rallied allies.

Ultimately, Bush and Gen. Colin Powell, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, decided not to push into Baghdad. That would mean occupying Iraq. They had an exit strategy.

So why the Iranian attack when the U.S., as Trump touted, had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities last summer?

Maybe it’s an ironically prescient twist. Back in 2012 Trump said: “Obama’s poll numbers are in tailspin — watch for him to launch a strike in Libya or Iran. He is desperate.”

Trump 2026 is a presidency in roiling flux. Affordability, ICE Picks, Epstein Files and an unpopular war have driven his poll numbers down. The midterms loom.

Also looming — the pragmatic warning of Winston Churchill:

“The statesman who yields to war fever must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events.”

It also applies to non-statesmen.
