The Daily Planet's Opinion: It’s a calamity that empty- souled ‘fangirl’ base adores both NYC mayor-elect and ‘good-looking’ alleged killer attract same
Tuesday, 16 December 2025 00:23

We are shocked by the phenomenon of “educated” (but apparently empty-souled) young women expressing overwhelming support based mostly on physical attraction and other superflous qualities for both New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and the alleged assassin Luigi Mangione.

The irony is that those who would most suffer from the ideas and actions of Mamdani and Mangione would be women because of Mamdani’s rigid 7th century Muslim beliefs and Mangione’s apparent propensity for fatal violence.

Mamdani recently swept to a crushing election victory over his rivals with a platform of socialist (communist?) ideas. Also, anti-Zionist Mamdani’s support for boycotting Israel — that stretches back through his entire adult life — shows his hatred of Israel in general. And his constant call to “globalize the intifada” reflects his hatred of Jews in particular.

(Sad to say, one-third of NYC Jews voted for Mamdani, but they split mainly on age and denomination, rather than gender. Talk about stupid.)

Also, we hasten to add that Mamdani holds anti-American, anti-police and anti-capitalist beliefs. Perhaps signaling the idiocracy that exists in higher education today, Hot Girls for Zohran, a collective of New Yorkers, organized to support Mamdani in his mayoral campaign.

Meanwhile, Mangione is accused of the pre-dawn murder — execution-style and (especially cowardly, in our view) from behind — of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City on Dec. 4, 2024. Thompson is survived by his wife and two sons. “Since his arrest, Mangione has been celebrated as a folk hero and sex symbol by supporters,” Wikipedia noted.

Studies show that many women’s enthusiasm for Mangione is driven by a mix of his physical appearance, a public perception of him as a “folk hero” challenging the healthcare system, and psychological factors related to celebrity fascination. A similar assessment could be made of Mamdani.

The value of the young fangirls’ formal education (brainwashing?) and other “credentials,” coupled with their lack of worthwhile values and common sense, surely is questionable at best, given their mindless support for such evil men.
