Let the dead person decide if it’s life or death
Monday, 03 November 2025 09:15

Judges and jurors are not good candidates to make a death penalty sentence.

They seat 12 jurors and alternates in death penaty cases, all saying they could hand down a death sentence.

But many times, one juror decides to vote against the death penalty — for one reason or another.

There is a simple solution... let the dead person decide if it’s death or life.

This can be achieved by designating death or life on their driver’s licenses, similar to organ donations.

This would take the pressure off the jurors and the judges — and also take the death penalty off the ballot.

This way, justice would be fair to the deceased — and there would be no pressure on the judge or jurors.

After the verdict is read, then open up the victim’s driver’s license....

Let them eat ballrooms? Trump ripped for destructive construction

Not content with destroying the intangible institutions of our democracy, Trump has now moved on to destroying the physical ones.

Tearing down a part of the White House to build his ballroom, after having pledged that the ballroom would not “interfere” with the existing structure of the building, is both duplicitous and overwhelmingly arrogant.

This is the building that Andrew Jackson dubbed “the People’s House,“ not some knock-off version of Versailles.

To be spending money on a gold-dipped party room — while millions of Americans will be losing their health insurance because of his bill canceling Obamacare subsidies — is a modern day “let them eat cake,” and a destruction of our cultural and national heritage.

And people wonder why millions of us were out in the street chanting “No Kings.“ This is why.

A plea for justice in Gaza... Suffering there needs to end

I encourage those who blame Hamas for all of the deaths in Gaza to consider the following:

“Babies are starving to death daily because mothers are too malnourished to breastfeed and there is no formula or clean water.”

— Letter from 99  US healthcare workers who volunteered in Gaza (October 2, 2024)

“The targeting of maternity hospitals and the blockade that limits essential medical supplies, such as anesthetics and maternity kits, from entering Gaza have turned pregnancy into a life-threatening condition for thousands of women.”

— The Lancet medical journal (November 2, 2024)

“Aid Groups: Infants Are Dying in Gaza Because Israel Impedes Import of Baby Formula”

— Headline of article in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz (July 11, 2025)

One does not need to be pro-Palestinian to be deeply concerned about the suffering in Gaza — just pro-justice and pro-truth.

What is missing is love... as U.S. children not being taught about God

What is missing is love, in America, and in the world.

They say that God’s first four Commandments are to love God — and the last six Commandments are to love ourselves and others.

Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (Matthew 22:37).”

The second is “Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself (Mark 12:31).”

It is easy to see — by what is happening in America today — that His commandments are not being followed.

Obviously, Americans, have not been teaching our children at home and at schools, about God, the creator of everything. THAT INCLUDES ME!

Our present and past leaders have failed to obey God.  Humanity has forgotten that God’s Ten Commandments became effective when he gave them to Moses. Government is to carry out God’s laws, in order to have a loving and just society.

Those just Commandments are:

(1) You shall have no other gods before me

(2) You shall make no idols

(3) You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain

(4) Keep the sabbath day holy

(5) Honor your father and your mother

(6) You shall not murder

(7) You shall not commit adultery

(8) You shall not steal

(9) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor

(10) You shall not covet.

Bible history clearly shows that even Israel, God’s chosen nation, failed several times to obey God, and they were severely punished.

Their many offences included throwing their children into the fire as an offering to their idol gods.

That same bible history shows that, after their punishments, our loving and forgiving God, was able to turn them around.

The Holy Bible also shows that God punishes nations as well as their individuals.

America, and most nations in the world today, are prime for such punishments.

He will do it as he said he will, “in the Book of Revelation.”

Just imagine, what a different world this would be, if humanity would do what Jesus said.

He said, “Love God with all your heart and soul” and “Love your neighbor” as you would love yourself.

We are all his children, and we are all neighbors on this Earth.
