From Staff Reports
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The nine-man a cappella group Straight No Chaster will perform its harmonies in concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Niswonger Performing Arts Center, 212 Tusculum Boulevard, here.
The group has performed for more than two and a half decades.
A promotion added, “If the phrase ‘male a cappella group’ conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties and khakis singing traditional college songs on ‘ivyed’ campuses… think again. Straight No Chaser are neither straight-laced nor straight-faced...
“They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fanbase and a long list of accomplishments, including 2 RIAA Gold-Certified albums...
“Straight No Chaser is the real deal — the captivating sound of nine unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is moving people in a fundamental sense, and with a sense of humor.”
