N.C. Beach Blast Festival to ‘flip, flop and fly’ with top Grand Strand bands in Kings Mountain on Aug. 22-23

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — The two-day N.C. Beach Blast Festival will open with the band Bantum Rooster performing on opening night from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 22 in the Liberty Falls Amphitheatre at Patriots Park at 220 South Railroad Avenue here.

Bantam Rooster is billed as “nine-piece powerhouse that plays a blend of classic rock, beach, funk, dance and Top 40 hits from their diverse repertoire to guarantee a packed dance floor from the first song to the last.” 

The festival also will feature “games, food and fun!” a promotion stated. 

On Aug. 23 (the second — and final day of the gala), the band lineup will include Band of Oz at noon; Too Much Sylvia at 2 p.m.; Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot at 4 p.m.; and Chairmen of the Boad at 6 p.m. 

Attendees are urged to bring lawnchairs and/or blankets — and their shagging shoes. Admission is free.
