From Staff Reports
Antanette Mosley, an attorney serving her fourth year on Asheville City Council, was unanimously elected as the city’s new vice mayor at its Dec. 2 organizational meeting.
She replaces the departing Sandra Kilgore as vice mayor. Kilgore did not seek re-election, so her term on council has ended.
Council also swore in its newest council member, Bo Hess, and welcomed the return of two re-elected incumbents — Kim Roney and Sage Turner.
Hess took Kilgore’s seat on council.
Meanwhile, the Ashville Citizen Times quoted Mosley as telling the newspaper on Dec. 3 the following:
“I’m really looking forward to working together as a team to shepherd our community through this challenging time. It is clear to me that there is such a desire to work together ... Whether it’s from staff to council, or from the community.â€
