John Legend’s Christmas show to celebrate holidays Dec. 16 at Greenville venue

GREENVILLE, S.C. —  John Legend, billed as a “soul and R&B icon,” will perform in a concert featuring holiday songs from his “Legendary Christmas” album, along with Billboard-charting hits from his 10-album discography, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Peace Center, 300 S. Main St., in downtown Greenville

Legend, a 12-time Grammy Award-winner, also will tell stories about his life and musical career. 

“A four-piece band will accompany the Ohio native and television/film star for an evening of serenades and songs of love,” an event promotion stated, adding, “Legend is a songwriter, singer and musician who began his professional career with Columbia Records in 2004. 

“His vocal and musical performances have earned him Grammy, Emmy and Academy awards. He has also appeared on various game shows and music-themed television series, mostly playing himself. Legend has released 10 full-length studio albums, spanning pop and R&B to soul, movie soundtracks and original songwriting.”
