HENDERSONVILLE — The Trump Force 47 “get-out-the-vote” strategy to elect Donald Trump as president was presented and reviewed — followed by an extensive question-and-answer session — during the Henderson County Republican Men’s Club’s breakfast meeting on Aug. 10 at American Legion Post 77 here.

About 60 people attended.

Making the presentation and fielding the questions was Christy Kinzer, regional director of Trump Force 47. She noted — apologetically and triggering a few chuckles from the audience  — that she is from Buncombe County (a Democratic powerhouse), but added that she, originally, is from (GOP-friendly) Yancey County.

Kinzer later explained the reason why she lives in Buncombe, pointing out that her husband is from Buncombe and that she has been unsuccessful — so far — in getting him relocate, presumably to a Republican-majority locale.

As she began her program, Kinzer asked any news media to leave the meeting because the Trump Force 47 presentation is off-the-record.

As the only news media present was the Daily Planet, club President Bruce Hatfield asked if, somehow, the newspaper’s reporter could remain, given that the paper has a paid club membership.

Kinzer agreed to allow the reporter to remain if two ground rules were followed: (1) That none of the slides can be “shared” and (2) That Kinzer’s presentation will not be quoted in the newspaper’s article.

The newspaper reporter agreed to the ground rules.

Earlier, Hatfield welcomed everyone and noted that, beginning with September’s meeting “breakfast goes up to $13 (from $10),” he said, attributing the meal price boost to “Kamaczar” economics. (“Kamaczar” is Hatfield’s nickname for Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been referred to as the “border czar.”)

Also, after a prayer was provided by a club member and the recitaton of the Pledge of Allegiance, Hatfield remiinded those present to notice that, according to the pledge, “it (the United States) is a ‘republic,’ not a ‘democracy.’”

The club president also lamented that “we (the U.S.) are just shy of 3 million people working for the federal government,” noting that that number needs to be slashed.

He added, emphatically “We need to elect Donald Trump as president in November to save our republic.

After Kinzer presented her off-the-record Trump Force 47 presentation, much of the lengthy Q&A that followed involved issues with rules in gated communities or homeowners associations that prohibit soliciting. However, it was pointed out during a club discussion that political lobbying is not “soliciting.”

To that end, an unidentified man urged the club members to write down the “pruneyard decision,” adding that the “federal election law is what protects you,” meaniing ‘I’m not selling anything, therefore this is not solicitation.’”

Local conservative activitist leader Jane Bilello asserted that, “in North Carolina, we probably have the worst voter rolls in the country,” with “maybe” a million names that are erroneously on the rolls. Bilello also noted that “It’s too late after Nov. 6,” Election Day, if the problem is not fixed earlier.

“We’ve got to get the N.C. State Board of Elections to move… It’s being run by a Marxist!” Bilello said. (The chair of the NCSBE is Alan Hirsch, a Democrat from Chapel Hill).

In concluding her comments, Bilello stated, “The General Assembly is supposed to be in charge of our elections… but they keep saying we’ll take care of that next session... It’d be really nice if the Republican Party would be pressure on them.”

Upon questioning of where donations to the Trump campaign cane be sent, Kinzer, along with several others at the meeting, said — almost in unison — “www.donaldjtrump.com.”

Hartfield then reported the following anouncements :

• The club’s total paid membership was 52, as of last month.

• The club’s total paid associate membership — for women- only — members was 24, as of last month

• The club has invited all of the candidates on the ballot in Henderson County to attend its meeting at 9 a.m. Sept. 14 — “and they will be given an opportunity to speak.”

In closing,  Hartfield reiterated his plea for everyone to vote for Trump for president as, otherwise, “It’s ‘Kamaczar’ of the Socialist States of America who will take over. We do not want ‘Kamaczar’” as the next U.S. president..
