I just visited Belize — a country of people having a history in slavery dating back to the slave trade between England and West Africa in the late 1700s.
Blacks (and gold) were traded to England for durable goods and food and then sold to the British colony in Belize (previously British Honduras) as slaves for logging mahogany and other hardwoods. Most were separated from their families and treated as poorly as slaves anywhere in the West.
The country today now has a largely mixed “black†population — Mestizo, Creole (Afro descendant), Maya and Garifuna — that lives generally happy lives without the angst of American blacks.
Not only have there been no calls for reparations from the U.K. (gained independence from England in 1981), but the people live lives far from the Leftist nonsense we put up that has kept American blacks in disarray and dependent on our government “plantations.â€
Unlike most blacks in the U.S., non-victimized Belizians are happy people, even though most live well below the American poverty line.
Well-dressed kids in uniforms proudly walk to and from schools without smartphones. Bathrooms at the Belize International Aiport are not marked “Men and Women.†They are either “Male†and “Female†that would amazingly shock our American M.D.s that presumably took Biology 101, but have forgotten their education in a blow to our collective sanity — and to the emotional stability of our youth that, without a solid family unit, will certainly become government dependent in young adulthood.
Asheville and Buncombe County reparations will do two things:
• Impose fines on people not charged or indicted for a crime who never owned or had family who owned slaves and give that stolen money to people who were never slaves or had family that were slaves.
• Assure the never-ending victimhood status of most American blacks who will keep them permanently at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder. All by design.
I hope and pray that native Belizeans don’t catch the American cancer of victimhood.
That is, if they want to have good lives and stay happy. And that also goes for many of my fellow Americans.

‘Doing The Merrimon Avenue Crawl’
By JoyceAnn “Joy†Jones
Here I am again, just like You All—
doing the Merrimon Avenue Crawl.
Thanks to the powers that be
this is what we will daily see.We hope they’ll not again repeat this offence —
Asheville traffic is already clogged and dense.
As we sit and our vehicles give off fumes
lateness in our schedule unhappily looms.I’d like to stop at that store sometime
but it would take forever to get back into line.
Oh well, these lane changes are now how it is —
best for us not to get into a tizz.Hoping no one’s car will stall,
I continue to do the Merrimon Avenue Crawl.

New WWC pet policy questioned; dog attack triggers probe request
I am a student at Warren Wilson College and saw your (Daily Planet) recent article covering the new pet policy on campus.
I was attacked by a student’s ESA (emotional support animal) dog just last week (in late April) and the college’s response to the incident has been incredibly disappointing.
ESAs are unlike service animals, in that they are not trained to do a specific task, but instead just provide emotional support and companionship.
They are still expected by the college to have basic obedience training and be well-behaved. The college does not require any documentation of good behavior or training from any animal professional in the process of applying for an ESA to be on campus — they only require documentation from a healthcare provider stating that having your ESA will improve your mental health while on campus.
This, of course, leads to a dangerous situation — like the one I was put in.
After I was attacked, I contacted my dorm’s RA (resident advisor), who contacted the housing office to file an incident report.
I was never contacted directly by an administrative office of the college until I asked for the attack to be acknowledged.
They quickly met in person with the dog-owner, but never actively tried to meet with me face-to-face, or even over the phone!
After two days, I contacted the campus Public Safety (office) after continued safety concerns regarding the dog’s presence in a common area of our dorm building — and Public Safety told me that they were never contacted about the attack, despite the college’s policy on an animal bite being that Public Safety would be involved in order to fill an incident report with Buncombe County Animal Control.
The failure to follow the college’s own incident policies, the lack of following up with me, and the failure to ensure my safety and the safety of other students (as this was not the first incident this dog had been involved in) is completely embarrassing and none of the administrative level staff that I contacted, including the president of the college, could offer me any reassuring information that the campus would be a safe place to return to in the fall semester, when the regulations on pets would much much more loose.
I’m disappointed to see the college lean on this new pet policy as a very obvious student recruitment ploy, when they have failed in so many ways to take care of their students who are currently enrolled.
It is embarrassing that the people with decision-making power over the college cannot see the multitude of ways they are failing their students — and it is sad for me to say that I will not be returning to the college next year, as I was once excited to come here.
Many students feel the same way both about the pet policy and the failures of the administration and I encourage the Daily Planet to reach out to current and past students of Warren Wilson College — and ask them how they feel.
I think you will be particularly interested in speaking with the Disabled Student’s Alliance to hear about the ways the college has failed in providing reasonable accommodations for the disabled population on campus.
Thank you for your time@

An open letter to Franklin Graham in opposition to new Billy Graham statue
I write in defense of all the little ones my God knew in the womb... before man’s evil powers ripped them outta; that embrace...
It would have been better if your father (Billy Graham) — the so-called preacher to the world — had read what Jesus said in Luke 10:19 (KJV).
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall, by any means, hurt you.â€
But maybe, he just overlooked that verse. And choose the silver and gold, instead, back in ‘73.
That is when the world-renowned preacher stood “silent†and led the way to Satan’s altar. For Satan is of the dead and God is of life.
Mark 8:36 states — “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?â€
At the foot of your father’s statue, you said, “Our earthly father.â€
I shook my head in disgust, then realized how right you were — for the world is of the devil....
Jesus went on, in Luke 10:20, to say: “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.â€
I believe Jesus’ words to be more precious then silver or gold.
For the children, Billy Graham made no sacrifice, unto the Lamb of God, but millions, through abortion unto Satan.....
Jeremiah 12:10 says: “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness....â€
This be your father’s legacy. Are you going “down†with it?
Jeremiah 48:10 says: “Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.â€
For the love of Christ.

Urgent support needed for transparency in spending by Buncombe government
I remember Carl Mumpower (on Asheville City Council, years ago) routinely pulling items off the city consent agenda to discuss and usually to vote against, and he was often right to do so; though when I last attended (Buncombe) county commission meetings, I could only comment once during the whole meeting, other than on state-mandated public hearings, and was as free to comment on consent agenda items as I was on regular agenda items during that one three-minute comment, and I did so several times.
So I’m not sure how elevating an item from the consent agenda to the regular agenda helps public comment the way it helps comment and opposition by minority board members, unless the county has now followed the city in allowing public comment on each regular agenda item, without which, I eventually decided my input wasn’t worth being searched by deputies.

‘Social justice warrior’ says Black Lives Matter backers foster racism
I am the parent of three mixed-race children.
l have been a social justice warrior my entire life.
l just wanted to make a point here in regards to racism that exists among people who see themselves as social justice proponents and supporters of black lives matter.
My mother with the support of my two sisters disinherited me in 2016.
There were no provisions made for my children or my brother’s daughter whose mother was Philippina, all children of mixed-race heritage. The will indicates that my sister’s children, who are 100 percent white, will inherit based upon the language in the will.
My children and niece have been robbed of generational wealth by the very people who have based their identity on being progressive.
It is an insidious racism, as the people who are promoting it are in denial
Truly good people who think beyond themselves would have split the amount due to me in four parts between my children and my niece, but this never happened. I attribute this to greed.
One of the parties in question was instrumental in establishing Asheville writing in the schools specifically geared towards diverse populations and has been active in social justice programs.
I have encountered this with teachers l work with, other so-called liberals and people who would be mortitfied to be considered a racist.
lt is the quietness and ignorance of this racism that continues to undermine the integrity and success of all people.
Just a thought....

Made In His image (with spirit), humans urged to heed what God says, not man
And God Said, “Let us make man in our image.â€
It should be assumed that God, The Creator, was talking to Jesus, The Word of God, and to God’s Holy Ghost.
And together, they formed Adam, the first human, from the dust or dirt of the earth. They then turned their work into flesh and bone in their Image. Then God gave life to that body by putting a spirit in him.
God, likewise, put a spirit in each one of us while in our mother’s womb, where He formed us, and gave us life (Zechariah 12-1).
Without that spirit, the fertilized egg would have died, and our mothers would have had a miscarriage, and we would not exist today. So yes, we owe our life to God Almighty, the giver of life!
From Adam, the first human being, who God put to sleep, and took a rib, and made Eve from that rib, the second human.
“And God blessed them, and God said “be fruitful and multiply†“and replenish the earth,†“and subdue it: and have dominion over†all.
“And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed,†Genesis 2:25)
They soon discovered shame when they ate fruit from the forbitten tree located in the center of the Garden of Eden. That was first time humanity disobeyed God!
God’s punishment was swift, and He put them out of the Garden.
Some 1,500 years later, when Noah was about 600 years old, man had become so wicked, that it repented God that He had made man on the earth. In Genesis 6:6, it says, “It grieved him at his heart.â€
God kept his word and sent the Great Flood which destroyed all except Noah and his family, and God selected animals, to again replenish the Earth.
Again, God told them to “be fruitful and multiply’ “and replenish the earth.â€
He did this knowing that they were going to blow it again!
Looking at America today, and the World, it is easy to see, that God’s view of humanity now, is probably about the same, or even worst, than in Noah’s day. Back then, “God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5).â€
Now what God commanded humanity to do has been turn up-side down. Instead of love, hate abounds.
As predicted by Jesus some 2,000 years ago, a vast majority of humanity has rejected God, and His Word. So has our precious country, America.
Too many people do not know God. That is because we disobeyed God and did not follow his command to teach our children about his creation and his just laws.
Separation of church and state is human garbage. It was never in the U.S. Constitution. The originators of the constitution did not want the federal government to interfere with religious matters.
Teaching about God should be the most important thing to be taught. You see, like God said, our mortal “life is like a breath of air,†very short and it is gone. When a human dies, the spirit which God put in us leaves the body and immediately goes to Heaven or Hell. Just the few who were born again, according to God’s Plan of Salvation, will have eternal life, and go to Heaven. All others will find themselves in a burning Hell.
There they will suffer until the Great White Throne Judgment. At that time, their names will not be found in the Book of Life. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire†(Rev 20:15). The preceding verse says, “And Death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.â€
In the lake of fire and brimstone, in the company of the Devil, and his followers, they will “be tormented day and night for ever and ever†(Rev. 20:10).
So you should see why it is so important to seek God and follow his Word, instead of the word of those miseducated man, who are out there looking at rocks and saying those rocks are so many billion years old.
God said He created heaven and earth in six days and only speaks the truth. The Word of God is the truth. Believe God, not man!

Shame on Ester Manheimer who led to the betrayal of the citizens of Asheville, North Carolina and the Jewish people with the complicity of the Democratic Party who also conived to throw the Vice Mayor under the bus; the lone voice who said “No†to the destruction of the Vance Monument.
