EDITOR’S NOTE: The Daily Planet requested — and received — an update from the perspective of Kathy Maney on “the latest” on her case involving having filed an assault on a female charge against Henderson County Republican Party Chair Brett Callaway.

 â€œAssistant District Attorney Lily Ferry led the discussion. I did learn a few things. She said that Brett Callaway said that he did not touch me. 

“After our meeting, I felt that I needed to make sure she would accept my video, so I have uploaded an unedited version of the assault that came directly from my phone.

“I made it clear that I want nothing less than him to be convicted of assault on a female. 

 â€œI have to go to Mediation on Monday, June 3. She would dismiss the case if I did not go to Mediation. Of course, I’ll be there. I will not agree to anything less than a conviction of assault on a female.

“I have proof, my video and my witness. 

 â€œI had made an ‘edited’ version of the event that took place on March 23 called:

“Did this really happen at our GOP County Convention?”
