I agree completely with (Daily Planet columnist) Carl Mumpower’s article on the Leftification (via crony capitalism) of once-great places in America.
But the destruction of our beautiful places goes beyond healthcare (No. 1 in cost per capita in the world by a huge margin).
Generally, the nicest areas in America become very expensive because of the simple economics of supply and demand.
It used to be that conservatives had the money and lived in the nicest places. Now, it has flipped completely and the big-money people that want to replicate the politics of their prior existence (think retired far left techies, healthcare and heavily endowed education and gov’t pensioners) or may even be youngish, brainwashed natives, are Liberal or Left. They have the dough.
Case in point. Cedar Key, Fla., was a once very conservative little island enclave, similar to what Key West was like 75 years ago.
As recently as 2023 you could go on Dock Street and see Trump posters all over — and even a picture of Hillary behind bars.
Hurricane Ida hit the little island key last year and I’m seeing new blood with rebuilding money that are moving things to center or even Left. These people are very well-off and are able to pay the now nearly exhorbitant taxes and insurance costs of life on the Florida coast.
The once-famous ice cream stand on Dock Street has new owners who replaced jailed Hillary with Bud Light posters.
That’s highly anecdotal, but it follows a general trend, which I am also seeing in a much more pricey Hendersonville, voting in a mayor supporting Green theory and LGBT parades. Those things would have been unheard-of just five years ago.
So, as the great places in America move Leftwards, it’s just a simple case of “follow the money.†And, for now, the New Left has the money.

An unconstitutional act alleged
In a speech to the United Nations, the Honorable Condoleezza Rice said that what made America great was that it was a “nation of lawsâ€... rules of laws and equal protection thereof.
However, what the so-called lawmakers did when they forged and acted upon the 14th Amendment, which drags the bill of attainder to the forefront, makes their actions against the men and arguably women who served in the defense of their homeland and constitutionally established Confederate States of America an unconstitutional act.
And not to forget the denial of habeas corpus, which the Honorable (CSA) President Jefferson Davis, in their captivity of him, asked for.
And it remains unbelievable that the United States Senate would not have challenged Congress in their establishment of a naming commission who’s charged with a justification utilizing a bill of attainder and clear disregard of established public laws meant to protect and afford the Southland of America, its memorials, heroes and heroines from the intrusion forwarded by (U.S. Sen.) Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and her disregard for the law.
She should be censored and Congress made to make right its wrong to include every national municipality — put back every cenotaph and memorial.
The U.S. Supreme Court made the right decision for the Honorable President Donald Trump. And it should be made right for our ancestors and siblings who call ourselves “Southern†and unquestionably “Great Patriots “! God bless you!

Taylor Swift for U.S. president? Even better would be JoJo Siwa
On Page 45 in the Jan. 12 (edition of) Newsweek magazine, an article by Nathan Robinson, who is the editor in chief of Current Affairs magazine, writes that pop star Taylor Swift is the best-qualified person to be the (U.S.) president.
Why exactly?
Because America is heading towards catastrophe, he says.
America is heading towards civil qar! And America is heading towards becoming both a dystopia and a police state.
And he writes that pop star Taylor Swift can hold the country together and keep the country together and prevent America from a civil war and from descending and devolving into a dystopia and a police state!
He writes:
“I don’t know whether Taylor Swift can lead us out of the crisis we are facing. But perhaps she can hold the country together just long enough for us to get our act together!!â€
Only trouble is, the writer Nathan Robinson has picked the wrong pop star to be our next president.
The pop star JoJo Siwa is the pop star with the personality and other attributes who has what it takes to hold this country together just long enough for us to get our act together!
It is the pop star JoJo Siwa who can keep this country from having a civil war — and also from devolving into a dark, futuristic dystopia and police state.
And it is pop star JoJo Siwa who can hold this country together just long enough for us to get our act together.
JoJo Siwa is 20 — soon to be 21.
So the age requirement of 35 to be president will first need to be amended.
And after we have seen to it that this has been accomplished, we then should draft JoJo Siwa for president.

Reader backs Tod Leaven for seat on Asheville council
I write today in support for the candidate Tod Leaven for the position of City Council for the City of Asheville.
I confess that my home is in Fletcher and I’m not eligible to participate in this election.
However, I would endorse his candidacy based on his honesty, his integrity, his professionalism and, most importantly, his listening skills.
You can be assured that, through Tod Leaven, your voice and concerns will be heard and measured.
Voting for your representatives in government is something to celebrate.
I urge you to vote Tod Leaven as your representative in Asheville government!
