GREENVILLE, S.C. —  The Away Team party and event band will be featured during a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at 2 p.m. March 16 on NOMA Square at 220 N. Main St., in downtown Greenville.

A night earlier, at the “Food Truck Rollout” gala in nearby downtown Greer, the Away Team will be the sole band performing from 5 to 8 p.m. March 15 in Greer City Park, 301 E. Poinsett St.

Besides the Away Team, Greer’s event will feature local food trucks and “refreshing” brews, a promotion noted. The city-hosted program will enforce a smoke-free policy and pets are not allowed. Children ages 16 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 

The Away Team performs covers of classic rock and pop songs, including hits by the Eagles, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Green Day, The Pretenders, the Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Hootie & the Blowfish, Prince and Led Zeppelin,.
