The U.S. Marshal Service??s task force took James Franklin Hairr, 21, of Asheville into custody on Nov. 25. Hairr was wanted by the Asheville Police Department for first-degree kidnapping and numerous other crimes that occurred from Oct. 11 through Nov. 4.
Police also charged Christina Suzanne Walton, 25, of Asheville with harboring a fugitive, according to Capt. Sarah Benson.
Hairr was charged with first-degree kidnapping, robbery with a
dangerous weapon, assault inflicting serious injury, six counts of
felonious breaking and entering, 11 counts of larceny of a motor
vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.
After his arrest, Hairr was taken to the Buncombe County Detention Facility, where he is being held under a $771,000 bond.
