WALHALLA, S.C. — A1A — The Official and Original Jimmy Buffet Tribute Show will perform a musical salute to Jimmy Buffet at 7:30 p.m. March 9 at the Walhalla Performing Arts Center, 101 East North Broad Street, here.

As for the concert, a promotion stated, “A1A – The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show was born in 1991. In 1992, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records, and the ball started rolling. 

“In 1995, Jeff Pike performed with Jimmy Buffett at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia. The show was recorded and  released as ‘Jimmy Buffett’s Barometer Soup Radio Special’ —  a show, which along with Jeff’s performance, still receives regular rotation on Jimmy Buffett’s’Radio Margaritaville ‘on SiriusXM Radio. 

“A1A has been extremely instrumental in the fundamental building and growth of the International Parrot Head Club community and the Trop Rock and Coastal Americana Music genres as they are today.”
