NEWBERRY, S.C. — The show “Nat King Cole Christmas,†offering a musical salute to Cole, will feature Allan Harris in the title role at 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at Newberry Opera House, 1201 McKibben St., here.
An event promotion stated, “Within the walls of our intimate theater, you’ll be sent back in time to the Golden Age of Jazz, where the likes of Nat King Cole reigned supreme.
“Harris’ impeccable phrasing and dynamic range bring new life to beloved classics like ‘Mona Lisa,’ ‘Unforgettable’ and ‘The Christmas Song,’ while his engaging storytelling and lively stage presence create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.â€
Regarding Harris, who is based in New York City, his website stated:

Among Cole’s greatest recordings were “Smile,†“L-O-V-E†and “Get Your Kicks on Route 66.â€
