To Asheville City Council, Buncombe Commissioners, and local media who just might be concerned (I am not submitting an article here of my own):
The article below is obviously slanted against Democrats, but thatës not the important issue here. If the sick-o was a Republican, Libertarian or Green, Iëm sure a writer would make some kind of slant to suit their own political agenda as well.
What
IS the important issue is that a child porno producer is given an
entirely unjust plea bargain from our local, and apparently very
corrupt, district attorney.
The very concept of plea bargaining is evil to me from the get go. But
plea bargaining from an 81-year sentence down to less than ONE YEAR
exemplifies the current lack of JUSTICE in our American "justice"
system.
IS THIS TRUE? Can it be that corruption is so entrenched in our
American government that now kiddie porn producers are given special
favors, perhaps because of their community involvement history?
"Oh well, heës been such a great member of our community that we can overlook his sexual abuse of children!"
I have to wonder how all this sits with the parents of those children who were sexually abused and perhaps scarred for life?
One thing is for sure: if the trend of this growing lack of justice in
the American courts continues in our country, people will be more prone
to take the law into their own hands in seeking real justice for such
heinous crimes ÇƒÓ and who will really be able to justifiably blame them
for doing so?
In my humble opinion, if there was ever a justifiable rationale for the
death penalty, child molestation is it. Yet, we will have another
convicted child molester walking free in about a year... oh but yes, i
know ÇƒÓ ÇƒÚheëll be curedë. (YEAH, RIGHT!)
I am so saddened by this report that I pray is is an entire lie... but
I fear it isnët. How long will Americans continue to allow the
corruption to continue?
So Asheville councilmen and Buncombe County commissioners: do we ignore
such matters and hope it all goes away? YOU are the elected leaders of
our community... SO LEAD!
And local media: do we let the good citizens of the Asheville area know
how our local D.A. handles child pornographer producers? It is YOUR
responsibility to report the news in an unbiased fashion, so I hope and
pray you do so.
Regardless, Lord help us, for it seems inevitable to me that we are surely doomed.
