TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — The Iliana Rose Cuban Band will perform music for listening and/or dancing 7-9 p.m. Sept. 7 in the amphitheater at Trailblazer Park, 235 Trailblazer Drive, here.
The show is part of TR’s summer concert series.
Rose’s website bills her as “a talented musician, film composer, arranger, musical director and band leader. Born in Miami and raised by Cuban parents and grandparents she is steeped in Cuban rhythms and culture. Being a genuine prodigy she started playing music at the age of four. After years of classical and jazz training, she graduated from the prestigious University of Miami, as well as the National Piano Guild with performance degrees.
“Iliana moved to Los Angeles where she was the musical director for many of LA’s top bands, spanning multiple genres. For several years, Iliana was the musical director and keyboardist on the nationally syndicated TV show ‘Noches Con Platanito.’
“As an accomplished composer and arranger, Iliana’s music has been performed by orchestras, marching bands, concert jazz bands, and salsa orchestras. She is also a recording artist, radio host personality, the voice behind several radio commercials, and an enthusiastic gardener,†her website stated.
Meanwhile, attendees of Rose’s TR concert are urged to bring lawnchairs and/or blankets. Admission is free.
