From Staff Reports

BREVARD — A symphonic tribute to the Beatles will be performed at 7:30 p.m. June 27 in the open-air Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium at Brevard Music Center at 349 Andante Lane, here.

The concert, “Revolution: The Music of the Beatles (A Symphonic Experience),” will feature BMC resident conductor Ken Lam leading the Brevard Sinfonia in the “BMC Presents” series.

The show will bring “to life the greatest songs of the Fab Four... featuring hits such as ‘Penny Lane,’ ‘Hey Jude,’ ‘All You Need Is Love’ and more — that will have you dancing on the lawn and in the aisles,” a BMC event promotion stated.

The website darkhorseinstitute.com noted that “the Beatles ushered in a new type of music. From Bach to the Beatles, music evolves in periods that change the way we listen, write and imitate. Their arrival triggered the musical revolution of the ‘60s, introducing a modern sound and viewpoint that parted ways with previous decades.
