MAULDIN, S.C. —The Mighty Kicks, based in Orangeburg, will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. June 16 in the outdoor amphitheater, at the Mauldin Cultural Center, 101 E. Butler Rd., here. 

The Mighty Kicks is part of Mauldin’s annual outdoor music series Amp’d Up Fridays (formerly called Beachin’ Fridays). 

The band promotes itself as experiencing an “all-time high” in demand, “with functions booked more than a year in advance. The band’s client list is certainly impressive. President (Barack) Obama’s and Governor (Nikki) Haley’s inaugural balls. The Mighty Kicks had the honor of performing at the U.S. Embassy in Canada. Flown in to perform for wedding reception in Chicago, New York City and Maine. HBO hired the Kicks! to perform for its ‘Vice Principal’ series prom scene, starring Danny McBride and Walton Goggins.

Attendees are uged to bring lawnchairs and/or blankets. Food and beverage trucks will be available for purchase. Admission is free.
